and strengthening our corporate culture through the continuous education
of
our team members. Through Brandywine University training, our
company
will ensure the delivery of quality, compliant, and efficient services
to our residents and their families in accordance with our company's
core values. Brandywine University offers many different levels for
education. Starting at the first day of hire and throughout each team
members' tenure.
Brandywine University-Community
Orientation & Training
Starting with initial orientation in the community, team members are
trained on new hire basics (Brandywine, Customer Service, Resident
Care,
Fire Safety, Dementia Care, Communication, Infection Control). Using
a
full one day and/or two-day review, team members are equipped with
Brandywine orientation workbooks, employee handbooks, nametags and
certificates of completion.
Brandywine University-Company Orientation
After initial orientation staff attend Brandywine*s Company
Orientation. This training is an introduction to the Brandywine
culture, our mission, philosophy, signature programs and our customer
service program. This training is a interactive team-building program
where all the employees from each building come together to share in
the
experience.
Brandywine University-Continuing and Professional Education
Quarterly Brandywine University sessions offer a selection of topics
ranging from depression and dementia, therapeutic programming,
wellness/health care issues, leadership training and other topics to
keep our team members trained on industry trends. Most sessions are
open
to all staff although target audiences are selected depending on course
content. External and internal speakers are utilized to enhance the
learning experience.
Brandywine University-Management

Corporate team members are also coaches through Brandywine University
to assist various managers with orienting to job responsibilities,
overcoming work obstacles, increasing work productivity and assisting
managers with producing results in their department. New managers are
also provided a mentor from a sister facility during their initial
orientation phase to observe departmental operations in another building
and to provide ongoing support.
